Theology
Theology today is a very vague term. Many people are still thinking about theology as a discipline that always strongly connects with a particular religious tradition. It’s right for some cases, but Academic Theology is an independent discipline that not always tight up with any religion or denomination. Among our modern scholars, we got many secular theologians and brilliant researchers who do their research in theological faculties but are not connected personally with any religion. I always was associated with the Academic Study of Religion. At the same time, I have been working in the church and taught not only in Academic study of religion but also in primary theological education. I was preaching in the churches, lead catechization education, used to work in confirmation camps. At the same time, I firmly separate the Academic Study of Religion and more confessional oriented theology.
